[edit] Notes From The Wiki Founder: Ask No Questions... by ConcernedCitizen 15:01, October 2nd, 2009 (EST)

There is alway some adjustment in starting a new job. But there's always some excitement. For me it was always meeting new co-workers. But the job itself doesn't reward people for chatting, as you need to be paying attention to what's on your screens.

When I first found the pictures of the people in the bus going to 'The Village' in my old filing cabinet I took them to the redheaded girl who handles security for this section of the floor. She's the one who buzzes you in and out. She always has a tall skim-milk latte on Monday mornings. She even smiled when I held my own cup of coffee (dark with two sugars) up and saluted her with it.

But when I showed the prints to her she pressed her lips together and shook her head. "Don't ever show those to me again," she said. "It's none of my business. It's certainly none of yours."

Since then she hasn't looked me in the eye once.

There's a guy, Mark, who works next to me on a bank of screens. I asked him if he knew anything and he just looked around the room slowly and shrugged.

I wonder which of them came back in and stole the prints?

When I said I figured I'd be fired at some point, it was due to things like that. I'm getting the picture that this an ask-no-questions sort of place. And even though I'm keeping quiet now, I think those initial questions mean I'm the odd man out now. They know I'm curious.

New picture sent to me via email
On the other hand, I also wonder if either of them are who's anonymously sending more information. Last night I got another picture for the wiki sent to me. It shows a person being led out of a trailer in a hood, which is downright creepy.

I've speculated around the wiki that The Village could have been some top secret CEO retreat. But people don't get led out in hoods from retreats. I still have no definite answers, I'm going to keep looking around as best I can.

Is there a way to hint around about this to tall skim-milk latte to see what she thinks? Maybe she'd be more willing to talk about it outside of the company?
